Full Moon Bath Ritual

2018 will be a rare year for all of us, as we are gifted the chance to see two double Blue Moons!  The first will be on January 31st and the second on March 31st.  It is no wonder how the term once in a Blue Moon was created, as this unique double Blue Moon year won’t happen again until 2037.

Not only will we get to see this rare treat from Mother Nature, but 2018 is a year to heal and understand our masculine and feminine energy within each of us.  This year will highlight our intuitive nature and bring forth tools for deeper harmonization within our analytical mind. Unlocking possible negative energy blocks within yourself and allowing for richer goals to take place.

There’s no better opportunity to start drawing in positive energy and bring your goals alive than with a Blue Moon bath! Bathing has been known since the ancient times to be healing, therapeutic, and magical experience.  A  Blue Moon bath is a great time to cleanse, clarify, recharge and restore a sense of calmness.  While bathing on a Blue Moon is extra special, any full moon allows us a chance to reconnect with the divine female within all of us. Giving us the needed moment to take a deep breathe, set new goals, radiate love, and attract prosperity.

To begin a full moon bath ritual, write your goals on a piece of paper.  Place a few treasured crystals next to the bath and light a candle in the bathroom.   Next, prepare the bath with salts, oils and herbs. A couple of my favorite recipes are below for you to enjoy! I make my bath with a mixture of salts, including Epsom salt, dead sea salt, and pink himalayan salt.  This combination detoxifies the skin, promotes circulation and relaxes sore muscles. For herbs, I love using invigorating peppermint; plus rose buds, ginger, cardamom, cinnamon, anise and ginger (makes for a yummy tea to drink, too!).  A mixture of rose, vanilla and clove essential oils blended with jojoba is then poured in the bath. Don’t forget, you can also use these oils to anoint the candle you choose to use for this bath. Lastly, it is time to relax in the water, soaking up all of nature’s beautiful elements and manifest on the goals you’ve written.

After the bath, place your list of goals outside under the moon’s rays.  In the morning, take your list that has been infused with the moon’s energy and burn it using the same candle you anointed the night before.
